Demand-Driven Replenishment for Clarus WMS

What’s launching

We are introducing "Demand" replenishment locations to handle pick tasks that fall outside standard min/max logic, specifically for inventory with strict shelf-life hurdles.

  • Date-sensitive stock allocation logic.

  • Automated "Hold-and-Release" task workflows.

  • Dynamic pallet-to-pickface mapping.

  • Full-pallet replenishment triggers for high-volume efficiency.

Why it matters

  • Preserve Order Integrity: Automatically solve shelf-life mismatches by pulling specific batches that "Continuous" replenishment logic might overlook.

  • Eliminate Manual Workarounds: Remove the faff of manually searching for specific dates; the system identifies the stock and moves it for you.

  • Optimised Pickfaces: Keep your primary locations for high-velocity stock while utilizing "Demand" bays for reactive, date-driven needs.

Technical Sync/Specs

  • Logic Hierarchy: System prioritises "Continuous" faces first; "Demand" triggers only if shelf-life criteria are unmet.

  • Task Management: Pick tasks auto-placed on 'Hold' status until the Demand replenishment is confirmed.

  • Unit of Measure: Standardised to full-pallet moves only to maximise forklift efficiency.

  • Location Logic: Requires designated "Empty" demand pickfaces; tasks queue automatically until a bay is vacated.
