Customising User Access

This guide explains how to control what users can see and do in Clarus WMS. You can limit their access to specific warehouses and accounts, helping you to manage different roles effectively.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Access the Users Screen

From the sidebar on the left, select Users. This will take you to the Users screen, where you can see all the users.

2. Select a User

Click on the user whose views you want to assign. Their current Role will be displayed. You can change this using the dropdown if necessary.

3. Manage Warehouse and Account Views

Below the role section, you'll see two boxes: one for warehouses and one for accounts. To control what the user can view, click on the tick boxes to change them to an X, restricting their access.

Restricting Client Views

For client users, it's important to limit their view to only their own warehouses and accounts.

1. Restrict Warehouse and Account Access

View All Warehouses: Change this to X to limit the user to specific warehouses.

View All Accounts: Change this to X to restrict the user to specific accounts.

2. Assign Specific Warehouses

After restricting the view, a User Warehouses dropdown will appear. Select the warehouse relevant to the user from the dropdown. Click the Assign button to link the warehouse to the user.

3. Assign Specific Accounts

Similarly, a User Accounts dropdown will appear. Select the appropriate account for the user from the dropdown. Click the Assign button to link the account to the user.

Repeat for Other Roles

You can follow the same steps to assign views for users in different roles, adjusting their warehouse and account access as needed.
