This feature helps streamline warehouse operations by ensuring that full pallets or storage units are picked and sent out, avoiding the need for partial picks and improving overall efficiency in Clarus WMS.
From the left-hand menu, select Accounts. Then, choose the account for which you want to enable rounding up.
Scroll down to the Flags section within the account settings. Tick the box that says Round Up to Full Storage Units on Pick.
REMEMBER: If Client X orders 250 items, and you have 3 storage units with 100 items each: without rounding, the system would allocate 2 full storage units (200 items) and part-pick 50 from the 3rd storage unit. With rounding enabled, the system will allocate and pick the entire 3rd storage unit (100 items), resulting in 300 items being picked and sent instead of 250.
After ticking the box, the system will now automatically round up picks to full storage units for that specific account.
It means picking entire storage units, such as full pallets, instead of breaking them down for partial picks.
Go to the Account Settings, find the Flags section, and tick the box for Round Up to Full Storage Units on Pick.
With rounding enabled, the system will pick and send the entire storage unit, which might mean sending more items than the customer initially ordered.
WARNING: This could result in over-picking, so ensure your customer forecasting systems are aligned if this is a concern.
Yes, you need to enable this feature individually for each account.
It significantly reduces the need for partial picks, which speeds up warehouse operations and ensures smoother handling of storage units.
