How do I round up to full storage units on picks in Clarus WMS?

How do I round up to full storage units on picks in Clarus WMS?

Enable Rounding Up for Efficient Warehouse Picks

This feature helps streamline warehouse operations by ensuring that full pallets or storage units are picked and sent out, avoiding the need for partial picks and improving overall efficiency in Clarus WMS.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Access Account Settings

From the left-hand menu, select Accounts. Then, choose the account for which you want to enable rounding up.

2. Enable the Rounding Option

Scroll down to the Flags section within the account settings. Tick the box that says Round Up to Full Storage Units on Pick.

REMEMBER: If Client X orders 250 items, and you have 3 storage units with 100 items each: without rounding, the system would allocate 2 full storage units (200 items) and part-pick 50 from the 3rd storage unit. With rounding enabled, the system will allocate and pick the entire 3rd storage unit (100 items), resulting in 300 items being picked and sent instead of 250.

3. Save the Changes

After ticking the box, the system will now automatically round up picks to full storage units for that specific account.
