How Do I Use Reason Codes?

Understanding Reason Codes

Reason Codes in Clarus WMS help you keep track of why stock has been adjusted, held, or released. They provide a clear explanation for every action taken with your stock.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Adjusting Stock

When you make an adjustment to stock, a dropdown menu called "Please select a Reason Code" will appear. From this menu, choose the most suitable reason for your action. For instance, if stock is damaged and needs investigating, you would select "Damaged Stock".

2. Adding Reason Codes to the Transactions Screen

To add Reason Codes to your Transactions view:

  • Open the Transactions Screen: Go to Transactions from the menu on the left.
  • Use Column Manager: Click on the Column Manager icon.
  • Add Reason Codes: In the dropdown list, find and select Reason Code to add it to your view.
  • Save: Once you have saved your changes, the Reason Codes will show next to the transaction details.
