1. Navigate to Locations

To begin, go to the "Locations" menu, which is found under the "Settings" tab.

2. Add a New Location

Once in the ""Locations"" menu, you can choose to add either a single location (by clicking "New") or multiple locations.

3. Provide Location Details

You will then need to enter the following information: the location code, a description, the warehouse the location is linked to, and the location type.

4. Understand Location Types

There are six different location types you can choose from:

  • GIBAY: This is the goods-in bay, primarily used for receiving and temporarily holding incoming stock.
  • GOBAY: This is the goods-out bay, similar to GIBAY, but designed for stock that is being shipped out.
  • RACK: This is a standard racking location, most commonly used for storing pallets within the warehouse.
  • PICKANDDROP: This type is for quickly storing and picking up stock.
  • WORK: This is a working area location. This type cannot receive stock directly.
  • BAY: This is a versatile type, similar to GIBAY and GOBAY, which can be used for both incoming and outgoing stock.

WarningWARNING: PICKANDDROP is not recommended for inbound stock received via goods-in, as it may cause transaction issues or duplicate putaway tasks.

AlertREMEMBER: Once you have created the location, it will be added to the warehouse you selected and will be ready for use, depending on the location type you chose.
