When you receive new stock and need to update its details, you can do so by importing the Stock Attribute file via SFTP. This file allows you to change various details about your stock, such as descriptions, dates, and FIFO information.
The Stock Attribute file includes the following fields:
storage_unit_reference (Mandatory, String): This is the unique code for the storage unit holding the stock.
string1 - 5 (Mandatory, String): Use these fields for various stock attributes you want to update.
stock_description (Mandatory, String): This is the description of the stock you wish to change.
datetime1 - 5 (Mandatory, String): These fields are for dates related to each stock line within the storage unit.
fifo_date (Optional, String): This is the expiry date of the stock within the storage unit.
Ensure that the storage_unit_reference you enter matches the reference of the stock you want to update in the system. This is crucial for the system to identify the correct stock for changes.
string1 - 5: Use these fields to update specific attributes of your stock.
stock_description: Enter the updated description for the stock.
datetime1 - 5: Provide the relevant dates for each stock line.
fifo_date: If needed, update the First In, First Out (FIFO) date to manage the stock's expiry.
After filling in all the necessary fields, save the file. Then, upload the file to the system using SFTP.
