How do I transfer stock or pallets in Clarus WMS?

Clarus WMS simplifies moving stock or pallets between warehouses or locations. This guide explains how to perform both internal stock moves and transfers between different warehouses.


Step-by-Step Guide

1. Access the Stock List

From the left-hand menu, click Stock, then Stock List. This screen shows all your stock. Use the search or filter boxes to find specific stock if you have a lot.

2. Understand the Stock List Buttons

At the bottom of the stock list, you'll see several greyed-out buttons. These become active once you select stock:

Export: Creates an Excel report of your stock.

Move Stock: Moves stock to another location within the same warehouse.

Warehouse Transfer: Transfers stock to a different warehouse.

Account Transfer: Transfers stock to a different account.

Negative Adjustment: Reduces stock levels.

Positive Adjustment: Increases stock levels.

Hold: Puts stock on hold.

Release: Takes stock off hold.

3. Move Stock (Within the Same Warehouse)

To move stock to a different location within the same warehouse:

Select the stock line you want to move by clicking on it.

Click Move Stock from the buttons at the bottom.

A small window will appear. It shows the stock ID, storage reference, and quantity.

For Move to Location: Use the dropdown to choose the new location within the warehouse.

For Move All Stock?: Choose whether to move all stock or a specific quantity.

For Quantity to Move: If not moving all stock, enter the exact amount to move.

For Generate a New Reference Number?: Tick this option if you want the moved stock to have a new reference number.

Once all details are entered, click Move to complete the transfer.

4. Perform a Warehouse Transfer (Between Different Warehouses)

If you need to transfer stock to a different warehouse:

Select the stock you want to transfer by clicking on it.

From the buttons at the bottom, select Warehouse Transfer.

Follow the prompts on the screen to enter the details for the target warehouse and confirm the action.

Yes, by unticking the Move All Stock? option, you can enter a specific quantity to move.
