New Feature: Granular Billing with Pick Charge Subtypes

New Feature: Granular Billing with Pick Charge Subtypes

We’ve updated our billing engine to give you more precision over your warehouse operations. You can now differentiate pick charges using Subtypes, allowing you to automate different rates for full, part, or pick-face tasks.

How it Works

The system now recognizes three distinct pick scenarios:

  • Full: Automatically triggered when picking the entire contents of a pallet (e.g., 10 of 10 items).

  • Part: Applied when only a portion of a pallet’s stock is picked (e.g., 5 of 10 items).

  • Pickface: Triggered whenever stock is picked from a designated pick-face location.

Setup Instructions

To apply these subtypes to your billing:

  1. Navigate to Charges > Charge Card

  2. Select the relevant Charge Card.

  3. Scroll down to Pick Charges and move to the right to find the new Subtype field.

  4. Assign the desired subtype to your charge line.

Important Considerations

To ensure your billing remains accurate, keep the following logic in mind:

  • Unit of Measure (UoM): If you set your UoM to "Item," you will lose the ability to charge for full pallet picks separately.

  • Rate Card Alignment: Ensure your charges are applied correctly based on the task type (e.g., distinguishing between pallet pick rates vs. case/item pick rates) to stay aligned with your specific rate cards.
