How Do I Set Location Check Digits in Clarus WMS?

Location Check Digits

Location check digits help ensure users are in the correct location by requiring a specific digit when scanning. This reduces errors when entering location codes manually and helps confirm accuracy during scanning.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Access the Locations Screen

From the left-hand side menu, click on Locations. This will open a list of all the locations in your Clarus WMS system.

2. Choose a Location

From the list, select the location you wish to set a check digit for.

3. Set the Check Digit

Once you’ve selected the location, scroll to the Details section of the location screen. In the Check Digit box, enter your preferred check digit for that location. After entering the check digit, press Save to apply it.

AlertREMEMBER: Setting a check digit is optional, but it helps reduce errors when manually entering location codes.

4. Update Barcodes (If Applicable)

If you are using barcodes and set a check digit, ensure the check digit is included in the barcode.

WARNING: Without the correct check digit, the Clarus WMS system will not recognise the location when scanning.
