How Do I Set Up a Warehouse in Clarus WMS?

Setting Up Your Warehouse

Before using Clarus WMS, you need to set up your warehouse in the system. This guide explains how to create and manage warehouse details, including adding multiple warehouses within one system, ensuring you can efficiently manage your inventory and operations.


Step-by-Step Guide

1. Go to the Warehouse Section

From the left-hand menu, click on ""Warehouses"". A list of all existing warehouses will then be displayed.

2. Add a New Warehouse

Click the +New button to create a new warehouse.

3. Fill in Warehouse Details

Enter the required details for your warehouse:

  • Code: Provide a unique code to identify your warehouse.
  • Name: Give the warehouse a name (e.g., building name).
  • External system references 1, 2 & 3: These fields are optional and can be left blank.
  • Default goods in bay: Select GIBAY from the dropdown menu.
  • Default goods out bay: Select GOBAY from the dropdown menu.
  • Address: Enter the full address of the warehouse.

AlertREMEMBER: Only the Code and Name are mandatory fields.

4. Save the Warehouse

After entering all the necessary details, click Save to complete the setup. Your warehouse is now ready for use.

5. Add More Information to the Warehouse Screen

Customise Warehouse Information

On the main warehouse screen, you will see basic details such as the ID, name, and code.

Add Extra Columns

Click the Column button to manage columns. From the dropdown, choose any additional fields you wish to display. Click OK to add these fields to the screen.

Reorder Columns

You can drag and drop columns to rearrange their order as needed. You can also add or remove columns to customise your warehouse view.
