Enforcing All Pick Types from a Pickface

Enforcing All Pick Types from a Pickface

You can now enforce all types of picks from a Pickface location - including full pallet picks. This functionality enables you to always pick any quantity from a Pickface, giving greater control over how your stock is managed and picked.

How to Enable Pickface Enforcement
  1. Navigate to Products
From the home page, go to Products. Use the column filters at the top to locate the product you want to configure.

  2. Enable the Pickface Enforcement Flag
Open the product record and scroll down to the Flags section.
Toggle “Enforce Picking from Pickface” to on.

  3. Note: The product must already have a pickface location assigned.
If you try to enable this setting without one, you’ll see an error message when you attempt to save.

Once enabled, this flag ensures that both full and part pallet picks for the selected product are always made from the designated pickface location.

Example Setup

In this example, we have a product called “PPP” with a pickface location named “PPPTEST.”

  • The PPPTEST pickface contains a total quantity of 67

  • Additional full pallets with quantities of 50 for the same product are stored in other (non-pickface) locations

  • Now, if we create a new sales order including the PPP product for a quantity of 50. The system will automatically select the PPPTEST pickface, even though there is a full pallet that can be picked in other location

Summary

By enabling the Enforce Picking from Pickface option, you ensure consistent picking behavior and tighter control over your inventory flow. All full and part picks for that product will originate from the assigned pickface, improving efficiency and stock management accuracy
