Setting Up a Pickface

This guide explains how to set up a pickface in Clarus WMS to improve inventory management. By configuring locations and associating products, you can streamline stock replenishment and ensure product availability.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Configure the Location as a Pickface

First, go to the Locations screen. Select the location you want to use. Open the menu for that location and find the option labelled 'Is Pickface'. Enable this option to make the location a pickface.

2. Associate a Product with the Pickface

Next, navigate to the Products screen and find the product you wish to assign to a pickface. Scroll down to the Pickfaces tab. Here, you will choose between two pickface types: Fixed or Dynamic.

3. Set the Triggers and Save the Configuration

Depending on the pickface type you selected, use the lower tab to either choose the specific location(s) for a fixed pickface or the location group for a dynamic pickface. Then, define the minimum and maximum stock triggers for the pickface. Finally, Save your changes. Once saved, the location (or group of locations) will operate as a pickface.

FAQs

What is a Fixed Pickface?

A fixed pickface means you manually assign specific locations to a product.

What is a Dynamic Pickface?

A dynamic pickface uses a pre-defined location group, automatically including all locations within that group.

Alert
REMEMBER: For dynamic pickfaces to work correctly, ensure that the 'Is Pickface' option is enabled for all locations in the chosen group.
