This guide explains how to add extra conditions to your Handheld Device (HHD) implementation, allowing you to control user access to specific screens or introduce custom rules based on defined parameters.
From the Handheld Devices tab, go to Implementations. Then, select the implementation you want to modify.
Once you're in the selected implementation, scroll down to the Preview section. This shows a simulated view of the scanner screen. You can click any option in Preview mode to simulate its functionality and see how the flow progresses.
While on the desired screen, click the Edit button. New icons will then appear next to each option:
Select an existing component you want to modify. A panel will appear on the right-hand side; navigate to the Conditions tab. Click the Plus (+) sign next to Component Conditions to add a new condition.
Define the condition parameters. For example, you might set task_account_code is equal to JOSEPH. This means a user logging into an account with the task_account_code set to JOSEPH will see the relevant screen content.
You might need to restrict a specific account from accessing a particular screen or introduce another custom rule to control the flow of your Handheld Device implementation.
The Plus sign (+) adds new conditions or components. The Pencil icon edits existing components. The Trash bin deletes existing components. The Arrow icon navigates into the selected option.
